Walk for Sickle Cell was created to help support sickle cell families and send children and teenagers to Camp Cell-A-Bration a free week-long camp for special needs children.
Remembering His Vision and Legacy of Serving Sickle Cell Families
The Sickle Cell Association of Texas Marc Thomas Foundation was created by Marc Thomas in 1997. Marc wanted to support families affected by sickle cell disease, a disease that he also suffered from. What started as a vision has now provided services to thousands. Marc passed away at the age of 46 but is legacy and vision remains through his organization.
