Sickle Cell Disease is the most common genetic disorder in the world. There is an estimated 100,000 individuals with sickle cell disease in the United States. Many suffer severe pain crisis, stroke, jaundice, organ damage and serious complications. Let's Walk to Stop the Sickle Cycle.
Walk For Sickle Cell was created by the Sickle Cell Association of Texas Marc Thomas Foundation to help support families with sickle cell disease in Central Texas, San Antonio and the Texas Gulf Coast. This nonprofit organization serves more than 750 individuals annually.
